Dual ROHM Flagship DACs- Under the hood, the DB600 utilizes dual ROHM BD34302EKV chips configured in a true dual-mono layout (one chip dedicated entirely to the left channel and one to the right). This layout unlocks ROHM's proprietary HD Monaural Mode, which heavily reduces the noise floor and delivers a very smooth, atmospheric, and analog-like sound stage.
Isolated Triple-Transformer Power Supply Clean power is crucial for a premium DAC. Summer Audio engineered the DB600 with three independent toroidal transformers ("three cows"). The digital processing circuitry, the ROHM decoding stage, and the Class-A amplifier stage each have their own completely isolated power supplies to eliminate internal electrical interference
Massive Class-A Power Output: The built-in, self-developed fully discrete Class-A headphone amplifier circuit is remarkably powerful. It can pump out up to 8,000mW (8W) of power per channel, allowing it to drive even the most notoriously demanding planar magnetic headphones with ease. To manage this power safely, the front panel features a physical 4-gear gain knob and a 4-gear output impedance adjustment switch.
