JM Audio XTC Carbon Universe™ is a custom designed forged carbon fiber cup manufactured with precise CNC cuts and adjustable tuning ports. The Carbon Universe™ uses custom 50mm dynamic beryllium drivers that use oversized 52nm magnets. Customers can choose drivers that best meet their amplifier requirements – 31 ohms at 111 dB SPL/mW or 300 ohms at 101 dB SPL/mW.
The carbon cups deliver exceptionally fast, open, and spacious sound, with even quicker resonance cancellation than our wood cups. This results in a unique soundstage and definition that is difficult to achieve with most wood materials.
The XTC Carbon Universe™ utilizes our JM Fractal Porous Carbon™ and Fractal Fiberglass Mesh™ as well as JM Nautilus Fractal Spiral™ . If you own an XTC^2.5 and own the XTC Carbon Universe you will easily be torn on which is your favorite as they are both our crowning achievements of what is possible. Each set is tuned just for you and we do this never rushed and meticulously through conversations to really try to dial in your style for music playback.
We personally love the Bliss tuning, but we now have bliss heavy bass and bliss lite bass- all tunings that yield a fantastic soundstage and depth while retaining infringing natural detailed sound from the sub bass all the way through the mids and highs- and yes these headphones will scale but are easy to drive at 111db efficiency. This is our crowning achievement next to the XTC^2.5 and feel these will live on as icons in the market for generations to come regardless of price.

Taking orders now- only a few will be produced - some will have more or less Gold Flakes and Silver Flakes - some may have less or more flakes or larger flakes. When ordering JM AUDIO can send you available styles and you can choose which suits you best. There is a 3 week wait after ordering and we tag your cups- as it takes JM Audio time to select and match drivers and build your custom sound match your preferred tuning. When it's your turn, it all about you and your set and your tuning style. Please specify amp you will be using and dacs.
